Who We Are

Greenoaks Agriculture is an independent consultant and broker of grains, oilseeds, and pulses representing buyers and sellers across the grain supply chain. Greenoaks Agriculture provides solutions through its extensive knowledge of the grains market combined with a strong understanding of customer needs and the effective communication of relevant market information.

Richard Perkins founded Greenoaks Agriculture in 2023 to help improve efficiency along the grain supply chain through his deep knowledge of the grains market, strong customer network and passion for the agricultural industry. Richard has been working in the Australian grains industry for a range of domestic and international trading companies for over 20 years. He has gained extensive experience in grain price risk management, domestic trading, business strategy, exporting and the execution of grain across the supply chain.

Richard hails from Walgett in Northern NSW and began his career with Agracom before moving to Melbourne with a European company managing the export trading of grains and oilseeds. He then helped set up the Australian trading arm of US Based Co-op CHS where he finished as the Trading Manager before moving to Market Check where he oversaw the grower advisory team and growth strategy of the business. Richard is also a Non-Executive Director of Grain Trade Australia (GTA) whose mission it is to facilitate and promote trade across the Australian grain value-chain.

Mark Poole joined the business in 2025 and brings over 15 years of experience in Australian agriculture, underpinned by a lifelong connection to the grains industry. Raised on his family’s mixed farming operation in Central West NSW, Mark developed a strong passion for agriculture from an early age. He began his career as a grower advisor with Market Check before joining ASX-listed GrainCorp, where he spent nine years—primarily as a wheat trader. Most recently, Mark held the position of Senior Trader at East Coast Stockfeeds, managing both domestic and export markets.

Mark brings valuable industry knowledge and a strong understanding of grain markets to the team, further strengthening our ability to deliver confident, clear, and trusted commodity broking solutions to customers across the Australian grain supply chain.
